The Company & Challenge
EdTech undergoing significant digital transformation with a range of challenges and objectives across digital and technology. Many of the challenges faced by the business would be greatly improved by appointing talent into multiple newly created roles.
The Solution
Partnering with the Director of Digital Change and the IT Director at the start of the Digital Transformation process, to understand the people requirements clearly, the priorities and timelines, in what would amount to hiring six key people in the first half of 2022, to drive the transformation objectives forward.
As some of the Digital roles in particular had a very niche skill set, for example requiring an understanding of the latest ePub standards or digital delivery for the K12 market with a bespoke built tech stack, we took a proactive approach to pipelining talent with the appropriate skill set for each of the potential roles, at the start of the process. This meant that when they were ready to go live with the hiring for each role, the time to hire was greatly reduced as we’d already invested a significant amount of time pipelining the talent.
By working with us as exclusive and retained partners, we were able to devote the time needed to map the market in advance of planned need.
Success
Over the course of 2022, we’ve successfully appointed key people into all of the roles identified at the start of the digital transformation. These have included; Head of Business Systems, Head of Platforms, Content Architect, Project Manager, Digital Asset Manager and IT Business Partner / Service Delivery Manager.
